ACB records sacked Delhi Minister's statement on tanker scam

New Delhi, May 11 (IBNS) : The Anti-Corruption Branch on Thursday recorded the statement of sacked Delhi minister Kapil Mishra in connection with his allegation that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had influenced the probe into a Rs 400 crore tanker scam, media reports said.

Mishra has alleged that the investigation into the tanker scam was influenced by Kejriwal and "his two men".

In 2005 the  Kejriwal had constituted a fact-finding committee to look into alleged irregularities in procuring  385 stainless steel water tankers by the DJB.

The Delhi government in June 2016 sent a report of the fact-finding committee to the then Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung following which an FIR was registered in case.

Mishra recently created a stir when he alleged that he had witnessed witnessed Kejriwal  accepting a bribe of Rs 2 crore.
