The victim has been identified as Yogesh Bidhuri, The Hindu reported.

"The victim made a PCR call after which the police team reached the spot," the daily quoted a police officer as saying.

The victim said that he was beaten up by the lawmaker and his supporters after he raised an issue pertaining to construction outside his house.

He was rushed to AIIMS, where he received treatment and was discharged shortly.
