New Delhi, Nov 23 (IBNS) Aam Aadmi Party legislator Sarita Singh has been booked allegedly for misbehaving with an on-duty police officer, reports said.

The incident occurred in northeast Delhi's Rohtash Nagar on Sunday when Singh's driver allegedly hit an assistant sub-inspector's   motorbike while reversing his car. Police claimed that as an argument started between the two,  the AAP lawmaker  intervened and allegedly insulted the police oficer, Om Pal.

The incident went viral on social media as it was recorded by someone.

An FIR has been registered under Sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 279 (rash driving) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC.

Singh, however, alleged that  it was the officer who abused her first.
