9-day bike expedition ‘North East on Wheels’ to start from Apr 9

Golaghat/IBNS: To mark the 75th year of the country’s Independence, the Amazing Namaste Foundation has organized a Pan-North East Bike expedition - 'North East on Wheels' from Apr 9 to 17.

75 bikers from various parts of the country cover almost 1 lakh distance across eight NE states during a 9-day bike expedition to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will flag off the bike expedition from Guwahati on April 9 and DoNER Minister G Kishan Reddy will be Guest of Honour.

Atul Kulkarni, Chairman of Amazing Namaste Foundation said that, during the journey the riders will pay tributes to the national heroes interact with local communities and promote through social media, the rich flora and fauna, cultural rainbow and performative character of the citizens supporting the cause of ‘One Nation, One Culture One People’ in true spirit.

“The bikers will be touching different international borders (Bumla Pass, Jaigaon, Moreh and Dawki) through their journey,” Atul Kulkarni said.
