7 kgs RDX, huge cache of arms-ammu recovered in BTAD

Guwahati, June 30 (IBNS) : Security forces on Monday night recovered huge cache of arms, ammunition, explosive including 7 kilograms RDX and apprehended three NDFB(S) linkmen in Assam's Baska district, police said on Tuesday.

BTAD IGP DR LR Bisnoi said the operation was launched by the police and the CRPF Cobra commando at three different places under Salbari police station in the BTAD district.

"Following the information revealed by the four NDFB(S) militants who were arrested by police from East Jaintia Hills in Meghalaya on June 28 we have launched the operation at the areas," a top police official said.

Security forces recovered one AK-56 rifle with magazine and 30 rounds ammunition, one factory made pistol with magazine, two chinese grenades, 52 live ammunition of AK-series rifle, 5 rounds 9mm live ammunition, one round point 22 live ammunition, 7 kilograms RDX, two detonators from the areas belonging to the outfit group.

Security forces also nabbed three linkmen of the Bodo militant group.
