Bangalore, July 17 (IBNS) A six-year-old girl has been raped inside a well known international school of Bangalore on July 2 last, sending shock waves and triggering a protest by the parents, said reports on Thursday.

The girl was raped inside the school premises by two, according to police.

The girl was befriended by unindentified persons and then sexually assaulted. She reported the matter to parents a few days later.

Parents protested outside the school Thursday and alleged that school staff is involved.

"The school should own up responsibility instead of hiding," said a parent.

Meanwhile, more protests followed after the school authorities brought out a circular asking parents to give in signing that the school will not be responsible for any harm to students.

Police is investigating the case. A gym instructor of the school has been taken into custody, said reports.
