4.9 earthquake hits Assam
Guwahati, Oct 30 (IBNS):An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter Scale hit Assam on Friday, officials said.
The epicentre of the quake was located at Karmganj in Assam at latitude 24.6 degrees north and longitude 92.3 degrees east, IMD's website said.
The quake, which has been reportedly felt in several other north-eastern states, was felt at 3.45 am.
It was also felt in parts of Bangladesh.
No casualty or damage to property have been reported so far.
