39 people killed in Assam by Bodo militants

Guwahati, Dec 23 (IBNS): National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit) or NDFB(S) militants killed at least 39 people including five women and children in five different attacks in Assam's Kokrajhar and Sonitpur district on Tuesday evening, police said.
Suspected militants of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (oangbijit) continued  the killing spree in Assam with targeting tribal people in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur district.
 
At least 32 people were killed alone in Sonitpur district. Seven others were killed in Kokrajhar district. 
 
According to reports, at least 12 people were killed and 10 others injured in militants attack at Phulbari Moitalubasti area and Dhekiajuli area in Sonitpur district along Arunachal Pradesh border on Tuesday evening.
 
Bodo militants killed another three tribal people and injured 9 others in two attacks at Serfanguri and Saralpara area in Kokrajhar district along Bhutan border.
 
On other hand, the Bodo militants also attacked at two tribal villages at Serfanguri area and Saralpara area in Kokrajhar district along Bhutan border.
 
Top police and army officials had rushed to the areas and launched operation against the militants.
 
The injured persons had rushed to nearest hospital.
 
Assam CM Tarun Gogoi has instructed six cabinet ministers of the state to visit Kokrajhar and Sonitpur district. 
 
Assam Tea Tribes students association has called Assam bandh on Dec 26 protest against the killings of innocent people by NDFB militants.
