30 people injured after hanging bridge collapses along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border

Guwahati, Jan 26 (IBNS): At least 30 people were injured when a hanging bridge collapsed at a picnic spot along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border on Saturday.

The incident took place at Namara area in Assam’s Biswanath district along Arunchal Pradesh border.

According to the reports, several hundred of people gathered at the area for enjoying picnic when the tragedy happened.

When the hanging bridge on the Namara river collapsed, some people were present on it.

The injured persons were rushed to Biswanath civil hospital.
