Mumbai/IBNS: A three-year-old girl died after a Golden Retriever-breed dog fell on her from a five-storey building in Mumbra, a suburb near Mumbai.

The incident took place on Tuesday evening and was captured in CCTV footage of the area.

The footage shows the dog falling from the fifth floor and landing on the girl, who was walking with her mother on the narrow street below.

The mother rushed the unconscious girl to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The dog also received injuries in the fall and was taken to a veterinary hospital.

The Mumbra police have started an investigation to determine whether the dog fell accidentally or was deliberately thrown.

Further investigation is underway.
