20 ministers oust Sasikala and Dinakaran from party posts

Chennai, Apr 18 (IBNS): Amidst the talks going on between the two camps of AIDMK for a merger, 20 ministers backed by the party MLAs ousted V.K. Sasikala and Dinakaran from the posts of general secretary and deputy general secretary respectively, on Tuesday, media reports.

AIDMK ministers asserted that around 122 party MLAs supported the move of ousting.

Sasikala who the was the interim general secretary of the party, is currently in serving her term in jail for disproportionate assets case. 

Tamil Nadu minister Jayakumar claimed the decision was taken unanimously.

Paneerselvam and former CM of TN O Paneerselvam are in talks over the merger of their respective camps of AIDMK.
