2 terrorists killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 26 (IBNS): In a brief exchange of firing between terrorists and security forces, two militants were killed in an ambush in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports , joint party of police and army laid an ambush in Padgampora village of Pulwama district after inputs that two militants were travelling in a car.

“As soon as the car reached near the area where army and police have already put wire and other material , militants opened fire, which was retaliated. In the ensuing gunfight, two militants were killed,” said the official.

Speaking on the issue, director general of police SP Vaid tweeted: "IPS officers while on their way to #Awantipur were ambushed by terrorists. The daring officers' retaliatory fire killed both the terrorists."
