Guwahati, Oct 16 (IBNS) : Reiterating that the youth must take leading role in making Assam a developed state, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday said that the youth must employ its innovative ideas in nation building process and commit themselves to the cause of the society.

Speaking at the 19th  Session of the Krishnaguru International Spiritual Youth Society at Bokakhat, Sonowal said that the youth must draw their spiritual strength from the ideals of Krishnaguru and work hard to take the state towards growth and prosperity.

Terming the youth as the growth engine of the society, Sonowal said that through hardwork, honesty and commitment the youth would be able to make meaningful contribution to the overall development of the state.

“In today’s competitive age, the youth of the state must compete with their contemporaries from other parts of the country and bring laurels to the state with their perseverance. The young generation of the state must commit themselves wholeheartedly in pursuit of excellence in every field so that Assam becomes one of the most developed states in the country,” Sonowal said.

Appreciating the Krishnaguru Sewashram for setting up skill development centers, the Assam CM said that it is a noble endeavor of Krishnaguru to impart skills to the youth along with spiritual teachings.
