Kanpur, Aug 30 (IBNS): In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old boy died on his father's shoulder after a government-run hospital in Kanpur allegedly denied admitting him, media reports said.

However, the hospital has refused the charge.

On Aug 28, Sunil Kumar reportedly brought his son Anshu to the emergency ward of Hallet hospital of JSVM Medical College.

The child was suffering from fever.

According to the allegations levelled against the hospital, doctors there asked Kumar to take his son to the paediatrics department.

Kumar had to carry his son on his shoulder because he was allegedly denied a stretcher.

When he reached the concerned department, doctors declared him already brought dead, said reports.

Denying the allegations, the hospital authorities said that the child was admitted in the emergency was but since he was 12, they referred him to the paediatrics department.
