12-yr-old boy dies after iron cupboard falls on him in Nashik school

Nashik, July 30 (UNI): A 12-year-old student was killed after an iron cupboard fell on him while playing in a classroom of a high school here on Tuesday.

The boy, Jayesh Sakharam Avtar, resident of Krantinagar on Mhakhabalabad road and studying in the Maratha High School situated on Gangapur road, was playing along with his friends in the classroom during the recess in the afternoon.

At that time, the iron cupboard which was kept near the class room wall suddenly collapsed on Jayesh, in which he sustained head injury, police said.

A school teacher immediately admitted him at Nashik civil hospital, where the medical officers declared him dead.

After being informed about incident, Jayesh's parents and relatives rushed to the civil hospital.

The Sarkarwada police has registered a case of accidental death in this regard, sources added.
