Jyotiraditya Scindia set to join BJP: All Updates
After quitting Congress, former Union Minister and parliamentarian, Jyotiraditya Scindia, is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Scindia on Tuesday sent his resignation letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. In the letter, the former Guna MP said he was not able to work for people staying in the party. Along with Scindia, 22 Congress MLAs of Madhya Pradesh also sent their resignations to Governor Lalji Tandon placing the Kamal Nath government in a spot of bother. If the resignations of the MLAs are accepted, the Congress will lose its majority paving the path for the BJP to return to power after losing the assembly elections in December 2018.
