Bhopal, Jan 21 (IBNS) Local news, not to worry to flip through various news channel, it is right on your mobile. Thanks to growing usages of WhatsApp and way things go 'up' and flow on this growing social media channel.

In Bhopal, one gets audio and videos local news  bulletin right on your mobile.

Patrika, a leading hindi newspaper of Madhya Pradesh has an audio news bulletin, in addition to its print edition, which is circulated among various groups and its reader clubs, carries local news.

It is not only in Bhopal, but Arun Chauhan, State Editor, Patrika, Madhya Pradesh shares that this is being done in 40 districts out of 51 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

It not only engages us with our readers but also bring them closer to us, he adds. They also are experimenting on using special audio news bulletin for upcoming municipal elections within municipal area.

In Bhopal there is another WhatsApp news bulletin, from Times tv network.

This is hindi video news bulletin with anchor, like a typical cable news channel bulletin, which is circulated on what’s up. Sometimes video is heavy, they also circulate the youtube link. But it covers local news including political.

Whats up is not a new phenomenon  or sharing breaking news among media and others but news bulletin is new thing, which we see happening, shares Rajesh Bhatia, Editor, Insighttvnews, a Madhya Pradesh web based news agency based in Bhopal and is also adminstrator for many news What's up groups.
