Kolkata, Aug 12 (IBNS): The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), in partnership with KIC UnivAssist hosted a U.S. University Fair at the American Center on Monday.

Representatives from 15 accredited American universities participated in the fair and disseminated detailed information about their institutions and programs.

These university representatives offered information on a range of academic programs at the undergraduate level only.

The main goal of the fair was to provide an opportunity to students, wishing to pursue their Bachelor’s degree in the United States, to meet and interact with representatives of some of the most prominent universities.

Over 100,000 Indian students study in U.S. higher education institutions.  United States has over 4,800 accredited institutions.

“The reason the United States is highly popular with Indian students is because of the number of high quality institutions," said Ganesh Kohli, co-founder and Director of KIC UnivAssist.

“We are excited to host these universities at the American Center and provide this valuable opportunity to students and parents," said Shevanti Narayan, Regional Officer at USIEF Kolkata.
