UK grooming school LSB teams up with U Academy to launch training centre in Kolkata

Kolkata/IBNS: London School of Barbering (LSB) has teamed up with U Academy to launch a flagship training centre in Kolkata.

The academy is located at Radiant Park, Park Circus, and aims to provide world-class hairdressing and barbering training to Indian students.

This partnership brings the globally recognized Level 2 and Level 3 RQF Hairdressing & Barbering programs to India, with expert trainers from LSB offering hands-on sessions on-site.

Speaking on the launch, Michael Kontos, Creative Director at LSB, said, "We focus on building professionals, not just teaching styles. This partnership will prepare Indian students with global-level training and real-world confidence."

Creative Director JJ Savani, from ONE (Originality Never Ends), added, "We want to inspire creativity in Indian students and help them become international trendsetters in grooming."

Shahnawaz Nayyer, Founder & MD of U Academy, called this collaboration a major step forward.

"We’re not just teaching skills—we’re building careers. With global faculty and guaranteed job placements, our students are future-ready."

The centre also aims to offer fast-track courses, paid internships after Level 1 training, EMI options, and educational loan support.

Students with prior experience or existing qualifications can apply directly for higher-level courses.

Trainers from LSB will visit Kolkata to conduct assessments and award globally valid certifications.  

U Academy’s mission is to blend creativity with career-building, offering Indian students a launch pad to become global grooming professionals.
