Tollywood stars Soham and Priyanka unveil new jewellery collection from Shyam Sundar Co.

Kolkata, May 13 (IBNS): With the wedding season in full swing, Kolkata-based jewellers Shyam Sundar Co. recently launched their exclusive collection of wedding jewellery called Shubh Vivah.

The branded collection was unveiled by Tollywood stars, Soham Chakraborty and Priyanka Sarkar, from the upcoming film 'Amar Aponjon'. 

Director of Shyam Sundar Co., Rupak Saha, was also present.
               
"It is important to have Jewellery that is timeless and look chic despite ever-changing fashion," said Saha. "Today’s women are independent and they make their own choices. Keeping this in mind, we have come with some new and multi-utility collections to enhance the overall bridal-look."

"For example, our Choker-Necklace. You can wear it as a choker or a necklace," said Saha.

Although largely aimed at women, the Shubh Vivah collection also includes accessories for  grooms, such as  gold watch belt, chain, pendant, Punjabi kada and many more.

Just to give an idea, a neck piece of 12gms may cost Rs. 40,000. The grooms' range starts from Rs. 15,000. Engagements rings cost between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000. 

Saha said that the film ‘Amar Aponjon’ (My Own People) aptly resonates the theme of ‘Shubh Vivah’, as one of the ways to win your loved one is through a happy marriage.
               
Actor Priyanka Sarkar said, "It is a nice concept from Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers. It is neither a promotion nor a collaboration. We cannot wear the chunky traditionally designed accessories everyday but these collections are really comfortable to wear."

She also said, " ‘Amar Aponjon’ is a film that deals with every close relationships, which we build oursleves."
               
Actor Soham Chakraborty said that he is familiar with Shyam Sundar Jewellers as he had bought from them during his marriage. He also said that he was very happy to be a part of ‘Shubh Vivah’ collection.

Speaking about the film ‘Amar Apanjon’, he said it was the first film produced by him and he was really excited about it --  about his own portrayal and the film's release.

Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers also announced an ‘Amar Aponjon Contest’, where winners can meet and dine with Soham Chakraborty and Priyanka Sarkar.
              
The ‘Shubh VIvah’ Collection is available at  their showrooms in Rashbehari, Behala, Jessore Road and Barasat, in Kolkata.
