Supreme Court Lawyer Aman Hingorani pens ‘Unraveling The Kashmir Knot’

Kolkata, June 22 (IBNS): Dr Aman M. Hingorani, Lawyer and Mediator, Supreme Court Of India & The High Court Of Delhi on Wednesday launched his maiden book ‘Unraveling The Kashmir Knot’ in Kolkata.

“Unravelling The Kashmir Knot” is  Aman Hingorani’s historical and contemporary analysis of the subject. This lucid, lively and thought provoking work is amongst the very few books written on constitutional and legal aspects of the continuing problem. It narrates the utter failure of the political leadership in undivided India, and later in the divided sub-continent, to rise to the challenge. The book discusses the inadequacies of the current proposals to resolve this vexed issue before outlining the possible way forward on the Kashmir.

“The book challenges the national and international discourse on the Kashmir issue right from its inception till date and suggests a complete change of approach towards handling the issue. It relies on declassified British archives to show how the Kashmir issue is an end product of a particular brand of British colonial politics,” said the author, Aman M. Hingorani.

Published by SAGE Publications the book has been recently launched in New Delhi by the Chief Justice of India,  T.S. Thakur and is the most talked since then. “Unravelling The Kashmir Knot” will be available across leading bookstores in Kolkata.
