Second Yuva Music Festival announced in aid to rebuild earthquake-hit Nepal

Kolkata, May 19 (IBNS) Academy for Musical Excellence (AMEC) on Tuesday announced the second edition of the "Yuva Music Festival" in an attempt to help in rebuilding earthquake-hit Nepal.

This year, the festival  will host 20 concerts, 10 competitions, 6 talk shows and 1 International Piano Master class and Workshop.

Yuva Music Festival of YMF’15 is essentially a 'Celebration of Creativity' or a 'Platform for the Young artists'; where it’s all about setting one’s wildest dreams and passion into motion.

Yuva Music Festival (YMF) is not only a panorama of events to test the artistic skills of the youth from all over the country but also an endeavor to bring together eminent artists as well as celebrities across the globe in an attempt to unite and strengthen our society through music.

 “Yuva Music Festival is a musical movement which aims to unite the entire community through music irrespective of one’s social status. The multi folded festival is benefitting a participant in overall character building along with showcasing respective musical brilliance.” said Surendranath Majumdar, the Director of Yuva Music Festival.

This year, the festival has initiated a special undertaking – a musical concert on May 9 to kick off YMF viz.

 “We Shall Overcome”; in aid of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Nepal. “We are very much by the side of our brothers and sisters from Nepal who have suffered heavily due to the earthquake. We strongly believe that Music heals many a wound and in our small way, we and the participating children of Yuva Music Festival are going to organise concerts to raise funds for the people of Nepal,” said Surendranath.
