Kolkata/IBNS: Acclaimed writer Sarojesh Mukerjee’s latest book, The Ascent: An Occasional Diary, is now available, offering readers an exploration of ambition, love, and the murky depths of politics and privilege.

The book captures the relentless pursuit of power, the emotional entanglements that come with it, and the moral dilemmas that often get brushed aside.

The novel is a quick read of just over a hundred pages and the story has been perfectly illustrated to help readers imagine the various scenarios in the plot.

Speaking about the book, Sarojesh Mukerjee says, "We live in an age where ambition is a virtue, politics is performance, and privilege is both invisible and inescapable.

"The Ascent is my attempt to explore these contradictions with humor and honesty—because sometimes, the only way to make sense of the world is to laugh at it."

The book is now available at leading bookstores and online platforms.
