Sanskrit University is being set up in WB: Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata, Feb 17 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday announced a Sanskrit University is being set up in the east Indian state.


"A Sanskrit University is also being set up in the state now," Banerjee said while addressing a press conference here.

She said people appearing in SSC examinations can write in Nepali.

"From now the examinees will also be allowed to write the SSC examination in Nepali," she said.

"We are starting a comprehensive health insurance scheme, Swasthya Sathi for various volunteer forces in Bengal," the CM announced.
