pHREEDOM4EVER organises painting exhibition by inmates of correctional home

Kolkata, May 21 (IBNS): pHREEDOM4EVER organised a painting exhibition by the inmates of correctional home on Friday at the ICCR, Kolkata.

Bratya Basu, Minister of Information Technology & Electronics, West Bengal inaugurated the exhibition

Others present at the event were Mayor In Council Debashish Kumar, Promita Mallick,  Sabyasachi Chakraborty. Eminent artists like Subhaprasanna, Jogen Chowdhury were present at the exhibition.

Considering the genre of the exhibition and the movements initiated by the Correctional Home Authorities, a host of socially prominent personalities attended the event.

Inspired by Chitta Dey, an eminent artist and sculptor and the man behind Flight to Harmony Foundation who has been an inspiration to millions with his dreams and ability to make dreams possible is the main figure behind this initiative.

Noted elocutionist and performing artist Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee did a walk through the entire exhibition with his anecdotes and trademark efficiency.

He made the venue as a home ground where the inmate artists are duly recognized for their efforts and are appreciated by the society.
