Musical artist Partha Ghosh passes away

Kolkata/IBNS: Eminent musical artist Partha Ghosh passed away at the age of 83 on Saturday, media reports said.

He was admitted to a private hospital in Howrah.

Ghosh suffered a cardiac arrest this morning.

Last year, Ghosh's wife Gouri Ghosh too passed away.

Partha and Gouri Ghosh's pairing up for recitation had endeared the Bengali audiences and they were a toast of the cultural world in the discipline.

The couple is credited for taking Bengali poetry to the homes of Bengal.
