Max Fashion aims to donate new clothes to children for Durga Puja

Kolkata: Max Fashion is aiming to donate new clothes to more than 5000 children from different NGOs for festival Durga Puja.

It has also welcomed citizens of Kolkata to come forward and donate new clothes at their stores.

For this initiative, Max has tied up with NGOs like, Hope Foundation, Voice of world, Rotary Club and others.

The Wall of Kindness will be inaugurated on the day of Mahalaya, which begins the festivities for Kolkata’s most iconic and looked forward, Durga Puja.

The 1800 feet long “Wall of Kindness’ will display the clothes before being handed over to the kids on Mahalaya day, the beginning of Devi-Paksha.

The Pujo collection included Sinduri, a collection inspired by festive shades of vermillion, mustards and ivory to celebrate supreme power and welcome new beginnings.

Talking about the initiative, Rajib Mukherjee, AVP Operations East and Central India, Max said, “We are delighted to make the Wall of Kindness for the children of Bengal. We all love to gift new clothes to our family and friends ahead of the festive season. Everybody is not so fortunate enough to receive such gifts. In this connect, we have decided to gift kids with new clothes. We wholeheartedly urge our customers and general public to participate and lend a smile to kids.”

Talking about the latest collection, Piyush Morjaria, AVP Brand Experience Marketing, Max, said, “The Max fashion’s new collection, which is designed keeping the festivities in mind, is expected to be liked across all age groups for its strong, vibrant and Pujo motif colour scheme."

Present at the occasion, music director-singer Anupam Roy, said, “The kid in us still yearns for new clothes during Durga Puja. It’s a joy to be part of such an initiative and the kids will have a great."
