Kolkata, Feb 15 (IBNS): Were you celebrating Valentine’s Day at or around Park Street on Feb 14? Chances were, you had an opportunity to taste a special batch of chocolate chip cupcakes baked by Kirti Bhoutika, the winner of Masterchef India 2017, India’s biggest culinary battle!

After having won over the taste buds of celebrated chefs including Michelin-star Chef Vikas Khanna, Kirti Bhoutika is now all set to win our hearts by contributing to the cause.

“I have always wanted to combine my love for baking with the joy of giving. Thank you CRY for helping Sugarplum Cakery to spread smiles in its own way,” shared a beaming Kirti.

While bakery sales are known to sore on special occasions like Valentine’s Day, Bhoutika and 6 other notable bakeries in Kolkata donated lip smacking eatables to help CRY send children back to school!

CRY has always believed that every individual is an agent of change and this initiative is a way for people to change lives while doing what they love. When all that love goes into ensuring lasting change for children, you can be sure that the outcome will be great.

“We believe that ‘every individual cares’ and wants to do their bit for ensuring that children lead happy, healthy and creative lives. ‘Bake for CRY’ seeks to create opportunities for the city’s bakers to bake for a cause. Over the years this has grown and become a much awaited event for the city dwellers. Baked products would be available at important landmarks in the city and you can mark your passion for children by contributing for the well being of children and get your favourite cookies and cakes,” said Mr. Atindra Nath Das, Regional Director of CRY East..
