New Delhi, Dec 3 (IBNS) In the presence of the Ambassador of France, leading Indian Dermatologists and L’Oréal’s top research and innovation experts, L'Oreal launched "Basic Science for Modern Cosmetic Dermatology".

It is a unique collaborative book co-authored by 24 Indian dermatologists and 24 L’Oréal R&I experts.

Edited by Professor Srinivas and Dr Verschoore; Assistant editor: Claire Battie - this book with 16 chapters covers all the relevant topics for dermatologists on the border between dermatology and cosmetics.

The book aims to define the most appropriate preventive measures in the science of Cosmetic Dermatology for the protection of hair and skin.

Michèle Verschoore, Medical Director - L'Oréal Research & Innovation said, “The objective of this book was to gather the most recent advance in basic science and knowledge in cosmetic dermatology for a better understanding of skin and hair physiology behind pertinent prevention strategies. It also served to build and expand our network with dermatologists who are emerging as key influencers & trust for skincare in India, and to exchange scientific expertise with our Indian counterparts.”

The quality and safety of our products for our consumers is top priority for L’Oreal. This is achieved through rigorous scientific studies that are performed at our new centers in Mumbai and Bangalore with the help of our worldwide L’Oreal R&I and external collaborators. We will continue to engage ourselves to bring innovation and to serve our consumers in India with the best fit to their needs”.
