Kolkata Street Music Festival season 3 celebrates genius of street musicians and street art in city

Kolkata/IBNS: The Kolkata Street Music Festival's third season has celebrated some of the street musicians and street art in the city.

Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers was the presenter of Kolkata Street Music Festival Season Three held on Dec 24, 2022 at Spices n Sauces (ICCR), in association with Riddhi Bandyopadhyay Music Academy, Soma Das,  Daffodil Incorporate it was Sudipta Chanda's unique initiative besides the Mountain Music Festival.

It started with the music of a band party by Sarat Bidyut Memorial, Park street flute seller Mhd. Ibran played Sachin Katta's song Wahan Kaun Hai Tera Musafir on flute, City buskers like Sourojyoti-Krishnendu (Third Stage) sang Pother Gaan, Musical Sandwich fame Nilanjan Saha sang Banjara, Band Sublime performed  Lenon's  Imagine, National award winning Pata Chitra artisan Kalpana Chitrakar, Noordin Chitrakar showcased story of Chandi Mangal on Pata Chitra, Bahurupi artisans Subal Das Bairagya, Dhaneshwar Das Bairagya along with Bangla Dhakis Paresh Das, Uttam Das celebrated Durga through their colourful presence and performances, students of Riddhi Bandyapadhyay Music Academy performed songs from Panchakobi.

Some other songs:

Songs of Tagore and Dwijendralal Roy like Sakatore Sobe, Eki Satyo. A special tribute in fond  memory of Lata Mangeshkar, Bappi Lahiri, Kay Kay were present by Chandrima Bhattacharya ( Aaj Tobe Ei Tuku Thak), Aritra Sunny Mukherjee ( Street Dancer), Surindam Mukherjee ( Tuhi Mera Rab Hai) respectively. 

Dr. Soumik Das sang Delivery Boy, Ritwick Maity rendered Bob Dylan's Knocking On Heavens, Anirban Sikdar sang John Denver's Leaving On A Jetplane, Aryan Acharya performed E Poth Gachhe Benke, Tarun Goswami performed Salil Chowdhury's popular number Pallobini Go Sancharini on singing whistling, Soma Das presented her own original Ami Aschhi composed by Joy Sarkar.
