The Department of Culture and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages organized a transformative ten-day calligraphy workshop in Srinagar, in an effort to revive the fading art of calligraphy in Kashmir.

The workshop received an overwhelming response from participants, rekindling interest in this traditional art form among the region's creative community.

The closing ceremony, graced by esteemed dignitaries and art enthusiasts, saw Commissioner Secretary Syed Abid Rasheed Shah felicitating the dedicated students and expressing delight at the emergence of new talents in the field.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting and preserving calligraphy in the region for future generations. Participants, like Areeba Wani, expressed gratitude for the enriching experience and hoped for more such opportunities in the future.
