IGNOU signs MOU with RAI, to provide ODL programme in Retail Sector

New Delhi, Mar 10 (IBNS) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Retailer Association of India (RAI), Mumbai at the university’s headquarters in the capital.

“We are signing an MoU to take a lead in initiating activities in collaboration with the RAI  for offering industry linked ODL Programme in the Retail Sector” said Nageshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU. 

The Programme focuses on the skill development and employment generation, Prof. Rao added addressing the MoU signing-in ceremony with RAI.

This Programme is offered in modular approach. On completion of Ist Year, the students will get a Diploma in Retailing (DIR). On completion of IInd Year the students will get an Advanced Diploma in Retailing (ADIR) and on completion of IIIrd year the students will get a BBA degree. The programme is offered once, in July every year. There’s three month-internship in the Ist year said S.Srilatha, Director, School of Management

The MoU was signed by Raj Gopalan, CEO, RAI  and Sudhir Budakoti, Registrar(Administration), IGNOU.
