Shimla/UNI: Another MBBS student was booked by Pt. Jawhar Lal Nehru Medical College, Chamba for getting admission through forged documents, becoming the second such case in the state

Principal of PT JLNMC Chamba Pankaj Gupta informed UNI that an FIR was lodged against a female MBBS student belonging to Nurpur area of Kangra district.

Gupta informed that out of 120 batch of newly admitted students they successfully uploaded documents of students on MNC website of 119 student but documents of one student were not accepted by the website.

The Medical College, Chamba was already alert as a similar case happened in IGMC Shimla recently.

After the college staff cross-verified the NEET score of the student, they found a mismatch with actual marks.

The principal said that certificate of NEET submitted by the students reflected 530 marks but online NEET score was found to be 240.

The principal alleged that students edited NEET certificate by using some software and increased their marks to 530.

Medical University Nerchowk was also informed about the tampering of documents and it ordered the medical college to immediately cancel the admission and book the student.

Now the vacant seat has been allotted to another eligible student.

The booked student didn't confess to her crime but it was found that the documents submitted by her during the counselling were tampered.

The principal alleged that some students were trying to violate the admission process as they think that it couldn't be cross-checked.
