New York, Oct 24 (IBNS) Orbiting the red planet, as India's Mars Orbiter Mission, the Mangalyaan, completes one month, popular Indian search engine Google on Friday decorated its homapage with a doodle to mark the occasion.
India entered a big league in space science and created history on Sept 24 with its much touted Mars Mission achieving a milestone as its Mars orbiter, Mangalyaan, successfully entered the Red Planet's orbit.

With this, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) joined an elite group of only three other agencies worldwide to have successfully reached red planet.

According to ISRO, the spacecraft successfully entered Martian Orbit and the Burn Start of Main Liquid Engine was confirmed.

Mangalyaan also transmitted the first pictures from Mars.

NASA had  also congratulated India on the success while Australian engineers and technicians working at the CSIRO-managed Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC) in regional Australia, who played a critical role in confirming the successful first phase of India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also commended India.

Google regularly present to the users colourful doodles to observe birth anniversaries of important personalities and significant dates or occasions.

The doodles not only entertain the users but also reminds them of the eminent personalities and their creations.
