Google celebrates World Cup fever by decorating homepage with attractive doodles

Mumbai, June 15 (IBNS): Popular internet search engine Google on Friday decorated their homepage with a colourful doodle by keeping in mind the ongoing football World Cup in Russia.

Based on the theme of  "What soccer looks like in my country"- Google has roped in artists from 32 participating nations who will create a Google Doodle every single day.

This special football based doodles will be put up everyday till July 15 when the final of the mega sporting event will be held.

Google doodles are used to decorate homages of the search engine to mark birthdays of important personalities, special days and events of the year.

The football world cup is one major sporting event of the year.

The official website of Google on doodle read: "This year's Doodle series celebrates the rich cultures and talent of all 32 participating countries by featuring guest artists hailing from each nation!."
