Craftsvilla to celebrate National Handloom Day with Ministry of Textiles

New Delhi, Aug 7: Craftsvilla, a shopping destinations is celebrating National Handloom Day on Aug 7, 2016 ,as an e-commerce partner of Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms) that functions under the Ministry of Textiles to revive and sustain Indian Handloom Industry.

The focus is on promoting ethnic handloom wear, which is the richest form of Indian culture and tradition.

Close to the roots of India, and true to its brand essence, Craftsvilla partnered with Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms) to provide a platform for India Handloom Brand to reach out to a wider audience. India Handloom Brand is a certification given by the government to weavers who make authentic handloom products.

The core objective of this initiative is to increase the earnings of the weavers by creating a niche market space for high quality handloom products which cater to the diverse needs of the customers.

It also endorses the quality of the products thus providing an assurance to the customers.

Craftsvilla will have a special handloom products sale on August 6 and 7 as a part of the celebrations.

This curated collection will include the rich Uppada Silk Sarees, eclectic Ikat sarees from Hyderabad, Khadi products and other opulent collections made by talented master weavers from across the country.

This is aimed at encouraging people to celebrate their roots and join in the efforts to adopt and embrace exquisite handloom products.

The brand is also working towards creating more demand for these handloom products and thereby helping the artisans earn better livelihoods.
