Kolkata/IBNS: Rotary Club of Calcutta Metro City presented the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award to celebrity Chef Joseph Pradip Rozario.

The award was in appreciation for his outstanding contribution in furthering the cause of global cuisine in India and strengthening international relation through culinary exchange.

Santoor maestro Tarun Bhattacharya, a honorary Rotarian and Rotary's Ambassador for the End Polio Now campaign, presented the trophy and certificate to Master Chef Rozario at his restaurant, KK's Fusion.

Upcoming Santoor player Jinia Bhattacharya was also present.

Apart from Chef Rozario's continuous integration of various forms of food cultures and creating a blend of fusion of taste, his recent highly successful collaboration with the US Poultry Association was a step towards forging greater International cooperation in presenting newer tastes, the organisers said in a release.

Chef Pradip Rozario said, "I am deeply honoured with this recognition. I shall continue to strive towards making global cuisine a local phenomenon through continuous experimentation."

The program was supported by Santoor Ashram and Eastern Chamber of Commerce.
