Author Novoneel Chakraborty prefers writing a book over scripts for television programme

Kolkata, Nov 10 (IBNS): Writing a book is the best way to express one's thoughts said author Novoneel Chakraborty at a book signing session organised at the South City Mall in Kolkata, recently.

He has written 12 novels so far, of which the ‘The Stranger Trilogy’ and ‘Forever’ series have a steady fan following.

The ‘Forever’ series was included under Times of India’s 'most stunning books of 2017, Amazon’s 'memorable books of 2017' and Flipkart’s 'most selling books of 2017'.

His three books published this year are ‘Cheaters’, ‘The Best Couple Ever’ and ‘Red Suits You’.

He has written scripts for television too.

"I do not like script writing too much," he said while signing his books published by Penguin Random House. Because, according to the author, a television script may be changed according to convenience, which is not possible in a book.

He said, "I have no objection to make a film or web series on my books. Now, in Bollywood a new trend has started to make a film about a writer’s book, and Bollywood will get a good story too."
