AMPAI announces their entrance exam dates

Kolkata, May 21 (IBNS): The Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes, a registered body under WB Society Registration Act 1961, on Wednesday announced that their Common Entrance Examination ,CEE,AMPAI, 2016-WB will be conducted for the third consecutive year on June 5,2016.

This offline examination will be conducted for admission to 4 years B-Tech and B.Pharma courses.

A press conference was addressed on the issue recently by Sardar Sohan Singh, Secretary, AMPAI, Sardar Taranjit Singh, President APAI and MD-JIS Group and Bidyut Majumdar Convenor, AMPAI.

The CEE-AMPAI exam will be held at 18 centres spread across the country namely, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir.

Apart from students from the minority community, students from other communities, who fulfill eligibility criteria, can appear for CEE 2016.

Shedding more light on the examination, Bidyut Majumdar, Convenor, CEE,AMPAI, said : " The CEE of  AMPAI is equivalent to WBJEE. It gives the students who are aspiring to be engineers and healthcare professionals an edge over others, since there is no negative marking in this examination and moreover they get a chance to take admission in the top ranked engineering college of West Bengal."

While addressing the press, Sardar Sohan Singh, Secretary, AMPAI said: "Since its inception in 2010, the aim of AMPAI has been facilitating higher education opportunities in the field of engineering and healthcare to meritorious students across the country. We have observed an increase in the number of examinees in the last two years and this year we expect more than five thousand students to appear for the common entrance examination owing to its transparency in competitive exam and evaluation process."
