93.5 RED FM celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas anniversary with jawans

| @indiablooms | Jul 25, 2019, at 08:00 pm

Kolkata, July 25 (IBNS): RED FM, one of the largest and most awarded private radio networks, paid homage to the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas with an exceptional episode of ‘The Headphone Show’ which was exclusively played for jawans at Fort William today at a commemoration event.

Along with presenting the personalized experience of remembering the sacred day with this tribute episode based on Kargil war, RJ Praveen marked this day with a memorable letter reading session. This was followed by a short musical performance by the band Paridhi who presented an act that hailed the heroic struggles of the Indian army.

Speaking on the occasion, Nisha Narayanan, COO, RED FM, says: “It is a matter of pride for every Indian to celebrate the 20th year anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. As we remember the exemplary valour and courage exhibited by our soldiers, it is our duty to pay respect to their sacrifices. By presenting them a special episode of The Headphone Show, we aim to express our gratitude and veneration towards them.”

Commenting on the event, RJ Praveen, RED FM – Kolkata, states, “I feel extremely proud today that I got this outstanding opportunity to mark this day of patriotism with 200 soldiers at the Fort William. While giving my voice to this especial episode on Kargil War for The Headphone Show, I ensured that I could do complete justice in bringing alive the whole scenario. Additionally, we employed a combination of engaging narrative, real life sound and packaging using superior sound engineering techniques, so that it stays as real as possible.  Today, when I saw our soldiers getting totally engrossed while listening to the show, I realized it was indeed a minor yet fruitful way of paying tribute to our brave-hearted army men.”

By handpicking real life incidents and integrating them with a surround sound story that can be visualized with the effective use of audio engineering, this show has enthralled the audience since the beginning.  This show has won multiple accolades and awards both nationally and internationally - NYF- 2019 (trophy winner), IRF- 2017, 2018 & 2018, Golden Mike- 2018 and ACEF- 2018 & 2019.

Just as the Indian army begins its week-long celebration across the country, 93.5 RED FM made sure that no listeners forget to remember this historical day which changed the course of India’s future. In an effort, to bring the listeners closer to the army, RJ Praveen read out the most impactful letters to the army men present on-ground. While few lucky listeners got the feel of surreal army life first hand inside the Fort William, the rest would get to experience it on-air.

The entire episode will be aired on 93.5 Red FM on 28th July, 2019.
