Kolkata, Aug 28 (IBNS): NIP NGO came up with this unique innovative initiative of arranging 2nd Inclusive Monsoon Indo-Bangladesh Cultural Festival 2015 and Rakhi Bandhan Utsav 2015 in association with AAKTARA, Biramdih.

The event was graced by the presence of eminent personalities from Bangladesh and West Bengal. Inclusive cultural festival was inaugurated by Ujjal Biswas, Dept. of Technical Education, Govt. of W.B & many others.

An art camp of the painters with disabilities also took place in this cultural festival.

This was the most valuable inspiration for those differently abled painters who might have a brush or colours but do not have such inspiration to use them properly in future. Cultural programme like song, dance, drama, recitation, etc. was also performed by differently abled artists, singers & poets.

On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan 100 differently able persons tied up the noble Rakhi to others for getting co-operation and inspiration.

Debajyoti Roy, the Secretary of NIP NGO says, “This is a very unique programme because in our society people always want to maintain a distance between normal and disabled persons. People think that disabled people cannot do the same thing as normal people can do. But they forget that even we are not perfectly able to do all the things. So in this sense we, all the normal people are also disabled in any one field.”

Sajal Sen & Mr. Samir Bose, from Aaktara says, “We are very glad to work for the tribal people and to be a part of their life. We are working mainly in Purulia. We are trying our best to serve for them and also for folk culture which is the root of every person. We wish that people should cultivate their folk culture. In this programme,   we are trying to inspire the differently able persons as they are also part of the society.”
