Xinjiang reports 14 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

Beijing/Xinhua: Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported 14 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all in the regional capital Urumqi, the regional health commission said Monday in its daily report.

The region also saw seven new asymptomatic cases in Urumqi Sunday.

By Sunday, Xinjiang had 592 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 123 asymptomatic cases, and 16,947 people were still under medical observation.

From July 15 to Sunday, a total of 185 people were discharged from the hospital after recovery, and another 78 asymptomatic cases were dismissed from medical observation in Xinjiang.
