New Delhi/UNI: The Union Health Ministry on Saturday said that the states and union territories will get more than 53 lakh (53,25,000) vaccine doses within the next three days.

So far, over 17.49 crore free vaccine doses (17,49,57,770) have been received by them.

As per Ministry data this morning, the total consumption, including wastages, is 16,65,49,583 doses.

More than 84 lakh vaccine doses (84,08,187) are still available with the states and UTs to be administered, the Ministry's statement said, adding that the states with a negative balance are showing more consumption (including wastage) than vaccine supplied as they have not reconciled the vaccine they have supplied to Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, 16,73,46,544 people have been jabbed against the virus since January 16, when the vaccination drive began.
