Rajasthan records 12 new cases, two more deaths; tally reaches 2,678

Jaipur/UNI: Rajasthan on Saturday added 12 fresh cases and two more deaths to its novel coronavirus tally, taking the total number of injections to 2,678 while fatalities to 65.

As per state Health department, among the fresh cases, maximum five appeared from Jaipur, two each from Jodhpur and Dholpur while one apiece from Ajmer, Chittorgarh and Kota.

Of the deaths, two were reported from Jaipur while one in Jodhpur.

Expanding the state tally, highest 933 cases were recorded in Jaipur, 547 in Jodhpur, 205 in Kota, 162 in Ajmer, 134 in Tonk, 118 in Nagaur, 111 in Bharatpur, 66 in Banswara, 42 in Jhunjhunu, 40 in Jhalawar, 37 each in Bhilwara and Bikaner, 35 in Jaisalmer, 27 in Chittorgarh, 21 in Dausa, 14 each in Churu and Dholpur, 12 in Pali, nine in Alwar, eight each in Sawai Madhopur and Udaipur, six in Sikar, two each in Barmer, Pratapgarh Rajsamand and Barmer while one in Baran.

The Health department informed that so far, 1,08,543 samples have been tested, out of which 2,678 tested positive, 1,00,277 negative while result of 5,624 is awaited.
