Jammu, Oct 31 (IBNS): A 15-foot python snake was spotted recently at Jammu's Katra station, which left people in shock.

The video footage of the incident has gone viral on social media.

In the video, people could be seen gathering around a pole in the station on which the python coiled around.

Eyewitnesses claim the wild life department was immediately alerted in order to avoid any untoward incident, NDTV reported.

The snake was caught and was later released into the wild, media reports said.

The video was reportedly shot on Oct 18.
