Pakistan witnessing spike in Dengue cases
Islamabad: Pakistan is witnessing a spike in Dengue cases as panic is spreading in public over the shortage of fever medicine, media reports said on Sunday.
In Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, dengue has started to take a dangerous turn, reports Geo News.
In Karachi city, another person has died due to Dengue.
The wards reserved for dengue patients in Karachi's hospitals have been are full. Punjab reported 125 new cases of the mosquito-borne disease. Moreover, dengue claimed four lives in the province, data from the health department showed, reports the Pakistani news channel.
To make things worse for people, the price of a leaf of fever pills has increased from Rs17 to Rs30 in Peshawar.
