Maharashtra reports 3,249 Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 3,249 fresh cases of Covid-19 and four related deaths, according to a health bulletin Saturday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,79,363 and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,929.

Meanwhile, 4,189 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 78,07,438.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.83 per cent and fatality rate to 1.85 per cent.

So far 8,20,44,129 samples have been tested in the state and out of them 79,79,363 have tested positive i.e. 9.73%.

Presently, 23,996 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals for Covid, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, in Marathwada region 77 Covid cases were reported, including 21 cases each in Aurangabad and Osmanabad districts, followed by 12 cases in Jalna district, 10 cases each in Latur and Nanded districts and 3 in Beed district, the bulletin further added.
