Maharashtra logs 155 fresh Covid-19 cases

Aurangabad/Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra has reported 155 new Covid-19 cases and one death in the past 24 hours, the health bulletin said on Sunday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state's cumulative case tally has surged to 78,77,732 and the death toll goes up to 1,47,843.

Meanwhile, 135 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 77,28,891.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 98.11 per cent and the fatality rate was 1.87 per cent.

Presently, 998 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, one positive patient was reported in the Nanded district of the Marathwada region and no patient was reported in the rest of the seven districts, the bulletin further added.
