Kerala logs 558 fresh Covid cases

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Kerala reported 558 fresh Covid-19 cases from 21,229 samples tested during the last 24 hours and two deaths on Thursday

"Meanwhile, 8 recent deaths lacking proper records have been added today. About 64 deaths were also added to the list based on appeals seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the State to 67,550," an official statement said.

About 773 people have recovered from the disease on Thursday. As many as 4,802 people, who already tested positive, are undergoing treatment in thestate while 64,56,428 people have recovered from the infection so far.

Currently, 15,996 people are under observation in the state -- 17,541 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 469 in hospitals.

On Thursday, 79 people infected with the virus were admitted to hospitals in the state.
