Karnataka to face vaccine shortage soon

Bengaluru/UNI: Karnataka, already reeling under acute vaccine shortage, will soon run out of vaccines, Karnataka Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar said on Wednesday.

According to Ravi Kumar, the state required 6 crore doses of vaccine and requested the Centre for 3 crore vaccines.

Speaking to newsmen here, he said the state had ordered for vaccines in the second week of April which was received in May.

The same has been used to vaccinate above 45 years old. Even the state is trying to import the vaccine from other countries, he added.
